“M. Avionne” was the penname I chose for my first book, which I got by translating “plane” into French and modifying the word a little bit. Since “M” actually is the abbreviation for “mister” in French, and I didn’t want to change it to “Mme”, I decided to blend the two together, creating “Mavionne.”
